BECERA Conference 2012
Call for papers now open
'Evidencing Practice Through Professional Inquiry'
Midlands Arts Centre (mac), Birmingham
15th&16th February 2012
An invitation to respond to the BECERA conference call for papers.
Dear friends and colleagues,
The inaugural BECERA conference in February 2011 was a resounding success. The general feeling was one of community and excitement.
BECERA envisages providing a space for early years practitioners and researchers to come together and share their findings and knowledge. BECERA aims to stimulate, support, create and disseminate rigorous, grounded and conceptual knowledge and its applications to our early childhood services.
Following recent policy changes, it is now more important than ever to be part of the community of knowledge that will shape and influence future policies.
This year's theme is 'Evidencing Practice Through Professional Inquiry' and delegates are invited to submit an individual paper presentation or poster presentation. Papers will be clustered in twos and allocated a time slot for presentation. All accepted papers will be included in the BECERA online database that is free to access to all registered users.
In addition to this, BECERA is planning some exciting workshops and a conference dinner. Details will be available online soon.
We are really looking forward to welcome you to Birmingham and encourage you to participate and contribute to what is acknowledged as a 'critical event to shift mindsets and sources of knowledge across the early years field' (June O'Sullivan, LEYF, 2011)
